LotsInvoice Pricing Explained: One Price per Business, the Whole Team Included

LotsInvoice costs $12 a month for one business, or $120 a year (from $10 a month). Pro is $29 a month for 5 businesses and Business is $79 for 20. Inside every business, invoices, estimates, customers and team members are unlimited, so your whole agency is included at one price. LotsInvoice never takes a cut of your payments.

I priced LotsInvoice by the one thing that changes your costs: the business you invoice from. Not seats, not clients, not invoices sent. This page covers what each plan includes, what it costs at 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 businesses, how pay as you go works, and what happens when you stop paying. Prices were checked on 19 October 2026 against the live pricing page and the LotsTech pricing catalogue.

What counts as a business

A business is one company or trading name you invoice from, with its own logo, numbering, customers and settings. A freelancer usually has one. An agency usually has one too, even with ten people on the team and forty clients, because the clients and the team live inside that one business.

You need a second business only when you invoice under a second name: a sister company, a separate brand, a studio you run next to your consultancy. Each one keeps its own numbering and its own look.

What every plan includes

The features are the same on Starter, Pro, Business and pay as you go. Inside each business, these are unlimited:

  • Invoices, estimates and credit notes
  • Customers, items and templates
  • Reminders and the client portal
  • Team members

Every business also gets the full product: nine invoice designs with your logo, colours and font (or your own template), your own columns, item and accounting codes, custom fields and declarations, exact totals with several taxes per line, a preview of the real PDF before anything goes out, numbered and locked records, recurring invoices for retainers, estimates your client accepts with a typed name, any currency, and reports on who owes what, revenue, tax collected and payments, with CSV export.

Plans differ only in how many businesses they cover and what each extra business costs.

Yearly billing is ten monthly payments for twelve months, which is where "from $10 a month" comes from: Starter at $120 a year. Prices are in US dollars; taxes may apply at checkout.

Pro and Business also include LotsNotes Pro while the plan is active (it's $99 once on its own), so your business notes, client details and ways of working sit in one place your team can share.

What it costs at 1, 2, 3, 5, 10 and 20 businesses

Monthly prices at list rates, with the lowest-cost way to get there:

BusinessesLowest-cost optionMonthly cost
1Starter$12 ($10 billed yearly)
2Starter plus 1 extra business at $12$24
3Pro$29
5Pro$29
10Pro plus 5 extra businesses at $5.80$58
13Pro plus 8 extra businesses at $5.80$75.40
14 to 20Business$79

The rule of thumb: one or two businesses, Starter. Three to thirteen, Pro. Fourteen or more, Business. The bigger the plan, the less each extra business costs.

None of these numbers move when you add a teammate, win a client or send more invoices. A four-person agency with one business pays $12 a month. So does a ten-person one.

Your whole team, at no extra cost

Team members are unlimited in every business, on every plan. You invite a partner, a project manager or your bookkeeper as an editor, who can create and change documents, or a viewer, who can see them but not change anything. They accept from an emailed link. Owner rights are never handed over by an invite.

I did this on purpose. Agencies grow by people before they grow by revenue, and the person who chases an overdue invoice is often not the founder. Charging per seat would make you choose who gets to see the money. You shouldn't have to.

How pay as you go works

If you'd rather not commit to a plan, each business runs on LotsTech Credits: 15,000 credits a month, which is $15. Credits cost $1 for 1,000, with a $10 minimum purchase. The charge is taken a little each day, not in one monthly lump. When I checked billing through the LotsInvoice MCP on 19 October, a business in a 31-day month was drawing about 484 credits a day (15,000 divided by 31).

Purchased credits never expire, and they work in every Lots product, so the same balance can pay for LotsInvoice and, say, a LotsCRM workspace.

On a plan, the businesses your plan covers are paid by the plan. Extra businesses beyond it are paid from credits at your plan's rate per business: $12, $5.80 or $3.95 a month on Starter, Pro and Business.

15,000 free credits to start

Every new account gets 15,000 free credits, valid 90 days, no card. That runs one business on pay as you go for a full month, which is enough to set up your layout, add your clients and send real invoices before you pay anything. It's a credit grant, not a trial, so there's nothing to cancel.

What happens if you stop paying

Your work doesn't disappear. Documents already sent, their PDFs and your clients' portal links keep working, and you can export everything. Creating and sending new documents needs a funded business, through a plan or credits.

If you stop invoicing from one business, archive it. Billing for it stops, nothing is deleted, and links you already sent keep working. You can restore it later when you have plan room or credits.

What you don't pay for

  • A cut of your payments. LotsInvoice never holds or moves your money. Your invoices and client portal show the options you already use: a Stripe Payment Link, PayPal, Square, bank transfer, ACH, Zelle, Venmo or check. Clients pay you directly, your own provider's fees apply, and LotsInvoice takes nothing. You record the payment when it arrives.
  • Seats. Covered above: unlimited team members.
  • Volume. No caps on invoices, customers or estimates inside a business.
  • Designs and the client portal. All nine designs, custom templates, reminders and the portal are on every plan.

How this compares on team and payment costs

Most invoicing tools price by seat, by client tier or by a share of each payment. On their own pricing pages on 19 October 2026: FreshBooks charges $11 a month per team member on top of its plans, and caps Lite at 5 billable clients and Plus at 50. Bonsai is priced per user, with invoices starting on Essentials at $25 a user a month ($19 billed annually). Wave Pro is $19 a month and is subscribed per business. Stripe Invoicing takes 0.4% or 0.5% of each paid invoice, on top of card fees.

If your budget is $0, Zoho Invoice is free for up to 2 users and 500 invoices a year, with Zoho branding, and Wave's Starter plan is free for one user. LotsInvoice isn't free. It's for agencies, freelancers and small businesses who want the invoice exactly right, their own layout and a clean record, with everyone on the team included.

Which option should you pick?

  • Freelancer or agency with one business: Starter. $12 a month, or $120 a year.
  • Trying it first: start with the 15,000 free credits, then choose a plan.
  • Two businesses: Starter plus one extra, $24 a month.
  • Several brands or sister companies: Pro covers 5 for $29, and each extra is $5.80.
  • A group of 14 or more companies: Business covers 20 for $79.

Billing from your AI assistant

LotsInvoice also works with the AI agent you already use, when you want it. Billing stays yours: an assistant connected to LotsInvoice can tell you which plan you're on, how many businesses you hold and what each plan would cost, and hand you a checkout link to pay in your own browser. It never asks for card details. Ask it:

What LotsInvoice plan am I on, and what would it cost me to add a second business?

LotsInvoice runs no AI model of its own, so there's nothing extra to pay on our side for this. How to connect.
